Raptor ID Trip Report

Raptor identification field trip with the Sussex Bird Club and Delaware Ornithological Society led by Bruce Peterjohn and Gregory Gough. The trip started at Herring Point before moving to the tower at Fort Miles. Strong winds from the east lessened the hawk flight from the previous day but we still enjoyed quite a variety and especially nice looks at peregrine falcon and bald eagle. Trip participants were especially keen to learn, enthusiastic, kind, and wonderful company. We hope to see them at the hawk watch so that they can continue honing their identification skills.
