Close the week with an easy walk along the Jack A Markell Trail at the Peterson Refuge near the Wilmington Riverfront. At this time of year the marsh is alive with the songs of Redwings, Common Yellowthroats and Marsh Wrens. We will go for at least 2 hours and cover about 2 miles, mostly on boardwalk with a bit of woodland trail thrown in. The sights and sounds of a freshwater marsh in evening are a great stress-reliever and will fortify you for the week ahead.

Meet by the Russell Peterson statue in the parking area for the DuPont Environmental Education Center. Those interested in more information may contact Joe at [email protected].
