The Mystery of Gulls & Terns
November 4 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
After a very well attended waterfowl workshop at Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge last fall, we return again. This fall DOS will offer a Gull and Tern Identification Workshop in conjunction with the Delaware Museum of Natural History (DMNH) and hosted by Bombay Hook NWR. Our intent is to offer workshop participants the opportunity to view, study and discuss the skins of a variety of gulls and terns one might see on the Delmarva Peninsula. The skins will include both the common and the unusual species in a variety of plumages. Dr. Jean Woods, Curator of Birds at the DMNH, will guide us through the museum’s collections.
The workshop is free and will be offered November 4, 2017, from 10 am to noon at the Bombay Hook NWR Visitors Center. Space is limited and registration is required. If you’re interested in attending the Mysteries of Gulls and Terns workshop, please contact Jean Woods, email@example.com or 302-658-9111 x314.
