Cape Henlopen Hawk Watch, Fall 2006

This past year the hawk watch documented a record 5471 total raptures for the fall season. A total of 268 observer hours were logged which included many new birding faces at the hawk watch. Highlighting the count was 2464 Osprey for the season which was just 46 birds short of the Cape May season total. We would like to thank everyone who volunteered for specific coverage days and all those birders who visited the Hawk watch and helped contribute to this record setting year. A very special thanks to Sue Gruver our compiler and count leaders Lou and Liz Dumont for organizing the volunteers.
